Richard N. "Sonny" Venkler

Richard N. "Sonny" Venkler, 88, of Birdsboro, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the companion of Wanda Larson. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Norman and Susan (Weller) Venkler. Sonny was a member of the Goodwill Beneficial Society and worked as a machine press operator for many years until his retirement.

Sonny is survived by his son, Larry Venkler widower of Karen of Birdsboro; and his daughter Lynda Boas, wife of Dennis, of Birdsboro; grandchildren, Larry Jr., Tyler, Jennifer and Jeffrey. Other survivors include his brother Robert, Birdsboro; and sister Twila Goetz, Reading. He is predeceased by his brother Ronald.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday May 13 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with services beginning at 1:00 pm in Lutz Funeral Home Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Mt. Penn 19606 .
