James Raymond Wolff, 89, of Pennside died in the Mifflin Center December 20, 2014. He was the son of the late Raymond Wolff and Rebecca (Wentling) Wolff. He was pre deceased by a sister Mary in 1984. He was a 1943 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He was a former President and loyal member of Central Catholic Boosters Club since 1965. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Knights of Columbus, 1st Marine Division Assn. and the American Legion Post #878. He was a former officer and founder of the Parochial Football League and Coached Football for 16 years. He was an electrical designer for Gilbert Associates for 39 years and retired in 1986. He was a devoted and proud member of the Marine Corps and served in the Pacific in the Battles of Peleliu and Okinawa. He was a Purple Heart Recipient. He helped to organize many reunions of the A-1-7 Marines. He is survived by his loving wife, Julia, with whom he shared 66 years of Marriage, a son Robert of Pennside, a son William, husband of Joan Wolff of Dresher, PA, a daughter Kathy C. wife of Mark Matthews of East Falls, Philadelphia and Mary A. wife of Leon Heydt of Fleetwood, PA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Amanda and Matthew Wolff and Alana and Marielle Heydt as well as two step grandchildren, Nicole and Jason Matthews and two step great grandchildren Evi and Aidan Matthews. A viewing will be held on Sunday December 28th from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Lutz Funeral Home Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Mt. Penn. Friends and family may meet on Monday December 29 at 9 am at the Lutz Funeral Home for a procession beginning at 9:30 am for the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena Church 4975 Boyertown Pike in Exeter.
