Joyce V. Yerger (Snyder)

Joyce V. (Snyder) Yerger, 91, of John's Island, SC, formerly of Reading, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, in her residence. She was the wife of the late John A "Jay" Yerger, who passed away March 21, 2012. Born on Snyderdale Farm in Sinking Spring, she was the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Florence E. (Zerbe) Snyder. Joyce graduated from Wilson High school in 1948 and graduated from Albright College in 1952 with a B.S. in Home Economics. She was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church. Joyce worked in sales at Levine's Fabric for 16 years until her retirement.

Joyce is survived by one son, John Michael of Reading, two daughters, Debra M. McTague, wife of Edward of Wyoming, PA and Melissa A. Howell-Clarke, wife of Alistair, of John's Island, SC. Joyce is also survived by six grandchildren, Eric (Danielle), Jared (MaryKate), Jennifer (Michael), Matthew, Jonathan and John Michael II and three great grandchildren, Lindsay, Gabriel, and Henry.

Joyce had many happy moments with her dear friends, the “Albright gang”, vacationing at the cottage in Canada and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Reading, PA 19606.
