Ethel Zuber

Ethel M. Zuber, 92, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 in Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of John Zuber who passed on February 21, 1981. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Katie (Schlappich) Coldren. Ethel was employed as a machine operator for Continental Can for over 30 years until her retirement. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan, loved playing Bingo and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. Ethel is survived by one daughter Gayle L. Moyer of Lehighton and three sons, Ricky J. husband of Patricia of Wyomissing, Mark W. husband of Joan of Womelsdorf, and Craig E. husband of Carol of Mohrsville. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren John IV, Jeffrey, Mark, Jenna, Monica and Wayne, 3 great grandchildren Trent, Derek and Aurora and one sister Ruth Dewald of Sinking Spring. Ethel is predeceased by five brothers Paul, Cleon, Russell, Ronald and Robert and one sister Arlene Fidler. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 10:00 am 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in the Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
